Vera landed punches on Chavez all night, Golovkin would knock him out, plus he would also go to Chavez' body...........
Thats true at that time JCC jr walked around 190 fought at 154, Jose Sulaiman did everything je can and more to help Chavez jr get the WBC 154...but Chavez jr just didn't like skipping meals
He doesnt have to worry about what goes on at 168 ..or 175....or 126. He is a middleweight. He fights at 160. End of.
Don't know why anyone would complain about this fight, especially when considering the alternatives for each man. Golovkin-Geale would not be as exciting nor would Chavez-Ward. In fact Ward won't get a crack at Chavez until Chavez is ready to retire (a few fights after he fights Golovkin). Jr-GGG would answer whether GGG's power carries up (relevant to potential future fights with Ward, Froch, Pascal, Stevenson, Kovalev), and show how he handles some adversity when Chavez smoothers his shots and starts clinching. Jr's big enough he would rough GGG up some, but I see Jr getting hurt bad in this fight.
