But if Whyte was the Official Mandatory number 1 why should he have to fight someone else, Wilder was the WBC Champ & Whyte the Mando...

Whyte has been offered repeated title eliminators that he has repeatedly turned down, then turned supposed "unfair treatment" into a marketing campaign to sell himself, which given by what we are told he has been paid has not been that successful. So if we want to go down the "WBC is a big meanie face" route, we can only do that by at least acknowledging, "Dillian Whyte's a ****-heel, too."

Because he was not the official mandatory number 1. He was the number one ranked heavyweight by their rankings. "#1 rank" and "Mandatory" are not, and never have been, the same thing.

    "But they should be!"

    Well, they aren't.

As StiffJab said, he wasn't the Mando at that point.

The issue was, the fight that needed to be made was Breazeale #2 v Whyte #1 as a final eliminator, but the WBC pretty much refused to make it for 2 years until Whyte started legal action.

This Ortiz "fight" was pure PBC/WBC propaganda:
    1) Ortiz had just lost to Wilder (Whyte #1, Breazeale #2, Poverkin #3, Ortiz #4)
    2) Since when can the champion dictate the opponents to be involved in a final eliminator? - ridiculous
    3) even if the fight took place the WBC wouldn't guarantee the winner would actually be mandatory for Wilder
    4) Wilder was previously on record that he was actively ducking Whyte with the support of the WBC
    5) eventually the WBC went on to make Breazeale v Whyte, but still managed to wriggle out of it, then continued to find multiple excuses to put up road blocks between Whyte and a title shot since 2016/2017

Anyway, let's look forward to the fight. I am curious what will come of the arbitration though

Like I said you are fool. One thing for sure while Fury is favoured to win Whyte is a live dog in this fight.

Whyte isn't even worth the 30%. Two fights ago the bum was KTFO by a shot Povetkin.
He shouldn't even be given a title shot.

We all do ... TBH, My feelings with World title fights is that if the contender has total believe in himself & his ability to win then to a certain extent the money is a secondary factor. If you truly believe you are going to become the Champion of the World you'll have plenty of time to make money....

    Don't talk stupid.

Whyte was already mandatory before he fought povetkin. He shouldn't have even took the fight he didn't need to but because he's a true fighter he took the risk.

He was beating povetkin before the knock out and whooped him just as easy In the rematch.

Any fighter can land a punch from the gods....just ask wilder he's made a living out of it, it means f all.

    He absolutely deserves his shot.

"True fighter". Are you high or someting? The bum just faked an injury to get out of fighting Wallin. No "true fighter" would do that.

Povetkin had covid before the 2nd fight. He was shot even more than for the first fight. Who the hell are you trying to fool.

Posturing for an attempt at more money. Realized they would move on without him and he’d lose the 8 million.
