Changes things a bit. And I can imagine MVP being a *****. Certainly isn’t a boxer. But still, I respect adam booth more than eubank jr.

I was looking at it from the point of view of Adam Booth. Plus the fact Eubank jr isn’t sugar ray Robinson so maybe should look to learn rather than assume he knows it all by bullying novices.

The warriors code isn’t something you pick up for the odd fight here and there then put back down, it’s a code you live and die by. Fury is unquestionably a warrior in the ring but even he wouldn’t claim he lives by the code.

Adam is one of my favourite personalities in Boxing. I joined his new gym in Redhill, Surrey just a few days before lockdown was implemented.

Fury, Shane, John and even Peter have proved multiple times they live their lives by the code. This is well documented.

Just when he's not pissed up, coked up, led on his couch at 30stone I guess, halfway through his career

    The code transcends boxing.

    30 second rest. What BS.

I applaud the physical condition Jr gets himself in but perhaps he needs to try and add nuances to his game and not just treat it as a fitness boot camp as most times he has stepped up he has found himself wanting technically.

Don’t think he explained how long the rounds were on the podcast but at my gym we do 2 minute rounds and 30 seconds rest for sparring. 30 seconds rest is not unusual depending on the format.

Good post. MVP needs regular attitude checks, anyone ridiculing over matched opponents needs a dose of reality every now an again. It was nice seeing him get done in the first round against Lima like he was nothing. Can't stand the man

Tbh, 30 is standard. For a spar and 2 mins around is bang on, resting for 1 min when sparring 0nly 2 mins would be to long

Big John, Tyson and Big Shane all live by some sort of gypsy/travelling code. Proper fighting men. Peter on the other hand probably adheres strictly to the gangster code. He ran a city ffs.
