I still dont get what the issue is with Haye.... if July is out..which it is..... they are settled on everything (although only verbal) Haye should step up and fight Wlad in December as his last fight then he can retire...

its asking Haye to delay his retirement for only2 months to fight the biggest fight and biggest payday of his life.... that would please everyone IMO

 

Hayweather needs to just retire.

Unification takes priority over mandatorys but they still have to be held within the time constraints of the mandatory rules (1 year). Extensions are very rare and with no guarantee Wlad would be champion after April 30th they'd decline.

Khan still doesn't even have an opponent and Sky would not move his fight back so Wlad and Haye could fight in April. Must suck to be given the backseat to a complete Glass Jawed Fraud who was KOed in 58 seconds. :roflatsch

 

If July 2 is "too soon" for Haye after Chisora, why not move the fight to August or September?

And I got ask again. Wlad is waiting all the way to April 30th to fight Chisora because that is the earliest date RTL is offering? Does RTL not allow Wlad and Vitali to fight in the same month?

 

That is what I can't understand; why the station carrying a fight this big can't alter the date to make it doable for everyone.


Why can't SKY reset the date in August, or even September? With this kind of money involved, you'd think that would not be a problem, at all.

Correct, and incorrect. The only thing was the Chisora fight.

BUT, as soon as that fight is done, the Wlad-Haye fight is no longer a GUARANTEED unification fight, as Wlad could lose.

Therefore, Haye doesn't have a guaranteed unification fight signed.


EDIT: I guess another option would have been for Wlad v Chisora to be a non title fight, but then I suppose Chisora wouldn't have been too happy about that. Not sure if that was ever an option, but I don't see why not. Plenty of guys used to have non-title fights.

 

But how can Haye say this? Haye should care about himself. Wlad did not say, Haye you have to box Chagaev on 30th of April and than me on 2th of july.
