Jermaine is gonna be in for a shock, hes been trying to dodge this fight but realised he couldn't. Can't wait for the Cobra to reap havoc on the Yank. Anyone know is this fight most likely going to happen in UK/US?

It's set for the US. Froch's been bragging about how he's going over their for his first defense, when it took Calzaghe 10 years to travel across the pond, yada yada etc.

People should stop underestimating Taylor's power. He can pop, we saw this against Pavlik, unless Pavlik's chin is below average -- but of course that's not true. The thing about Taylor imo is that he is not a good finisher. And talking about his last 4 fights.. lol come on guys.. it was against Iron chinned and defensive wizard B-Hops, Winky (known for his high gaurd def), and Palvik who has a pretty good jaw. At the elite level, KO's tend to go down.

You guys underestimated his power before and he was a uppercut away from ending pavlik in the 2nd. He is just not a good finisher. Perhaps he learned his lesson?

Taking out Froch would still be no one of note. Though I was saying early on this could be Taylor's first stop in a long time, if Fitzgerald agrees, I'll have to admit I was wrong.

Well if you look at it like that then anyone would predict a knockout but Taylor to me seems to be a bit of a fragile piece lately and I can see him being drawn into a fight where he will be getting hit aswell as doing the hitting. Froch can take a good shot so it makes for a good fight. Taylor has plenty of flaws and he tends to come unstuck the longer the fight goes on. It will be an interesting fight and if Froch won then it would be seen as an upset due to the level of competition Taylor has faced compared to Froch.

Are you sure your not Floyd Mayweather because you sure sound like him.

Thats seems to be his favourite line, who has he fought ?

Well you dont have to worry about who has he fought because Taylor will be fighting Froch not Froch's previous opponents so he can answer that question after he has fought him win or lose.

Its about fighting the fight, not making excuses to try and get out of fighting the guy.

I wouldn't even call Pascal a decent KO specialist. After 22 fights he's got 14 stoppages... after Taylor's first 22 fights, he had 16 stoppages...

Either way Taylor presents a bigger KO threat to Froch than Pascal did based simply on the fact that he can set things up with his jab (Pascal didn't use a jab) and throws fast, accurate combinations, whereas Pascal didn't really put his punches together. Plus most of the big shots Pascal landed were arm punches that he didn't put his shoulders or legs into.

A Taylor KO is unlikely for sure, but definitely not out of the question.

Quite right, in my completely honest judgement of the Pascal vs Froch fight, if we have to look at both boxers from an intelligence standpoint, Pascal is not very intelligent in the way he was fighting. He did not actually show any boxing smarts that night and as you quite rightly pointed out he was just winging in arm punches so they looked hurtful to us viewing at home but they wasn't really loaded like they should be.

Pascal was not setting anything up as you stated and he was just throwing haymakers. Somebody like Taylor would use his double and triple jab to set up other shots. My only concern would be if Froch lands that uppercut on Taylor and how he would react to getting hit with that sweeping uppercut. Talyor seems to break down when he is actually getting hit more than he would like to. I can see Froch breaking him down the longer the fight goes but this could go either way in my opinion.

If Taylor KO's Froch it will be because of un answered punishment and the ref would have to wave it off or a thrown towel. A TKO win for Taylor is possible but I would bet this will go 12 rounds. Taylor might get a big time KO but its highly unlikely.

By the way Taylor is overrated and would have never beat Hopkins if Hopkins wasnt having trouble making 160 pounds at 41 years old. (Hopkins won the 2nd fight in my opinion anyway)

I really can't wait to see this fight. The difference in class is going to be amazingly obvious.

These guys know what the broadcasters spouted during Froch's last fight with Pascal. Froch ran across the ring and furiously beat on Pascal's guard to open the bout, not landing a single damned shot from what I could see and the announcers called it "brilliant stuff". They were cheer leaders, not announcers. The announcers were pretty much exaggerating everything that happened throughout the fight. Now the people that watched it think Froch is something he clearly isn't. After the fight these same good folk are going to take Froch out into Nothingham Forrest, kill him and blame some dude in tights.
