According to some interview presented on this forum on video, it was amazing how much fear Mayweather showed towards a fight against Margarito. At one occasion he almost cried because of people demanding this fight. He did all he could to avoid this fight. I have never seen a boxer acting like that. I am not sure that PBF could handle Margarito`s pressure for 12 consecutive rounds without being punished. Another reson is that Margarito does very well against smaller fighter such as Mayweather.

There comes a time where size and strength can matc or overcome skills. Floyd may win but it would be the ugliest fight anyone would ever see. Cotto tryin to run but he is simply not good enough in defense to do it.

Void could not hurt Margarito. Void is afraid of both fighters. Void is afraid of an Oscar rematch!

PBF cant keep a lightweight Castillo off him what makes people think he could keep Marg off him? Yea it might have looked as if marg was slowing down but cotto was infliciting damage too. Money may wouldnnt do that, plus that pesky jab and straight right aint enough to hurt or keep marg off.

I think Floyd may have had a chance to beat Margarito 2 years ago, but ever since his loss too Williams, he has started much faster and has put even more pressure on his opponents. Mayweather would definitely have his work cut out for him.

    Floyd would beat Margo period

The reason that he turned down the fight with Margo for 8 million??? 25+ million that he made vs Oscar:good

Better question is why did Margo reject the chance to fight floyd instead of Gomez:huh

The fight against Oscar wasn't until a year later. He could have faced Margarito in the summer of 2006, but rejected the offer.

Nope your wrong....Margo was offered the fight with Floyd April of 2006 Margo turned it down with Arum stating that he needed Margo for a Feb 2006 PPV card. Margo was then had to fight Clottey. it was after the Clottey fight that Arum made the offer to Mayweather, at which point he was already in talks with Oscar which was at the start of 2007

It makes no sense since PBF rejected 8 millions long time ago before DLH fight.

I think PBF belongs at 140 and he knows it, and he got himself into a mess by coming up to 147. Now people are demanding a fight that he really doesn't want, and I don't blame him.

This fight makes you realize just how good Mayweather is, I mean Cotto gets hit time after time when he was against the ropes while Mayweather can duck, weave and roll his way from those exact same kind of shots. Everyone has to admit that Margo would be missing 90 percent of his shots against Mayweather.
