It obviously was an Irishman vs a Korean guy actually. But we all just pretend it is Mexico vs Russia for the fun of it.

Thats all I want from any fight my friend the better man gets the win. BUT Bivol didn't just beat him He kicked his ass. Yet the judges made it close no way they could have given Canelo the win or even a draw this time.
Bet Bob Bennet is fuming Those judges will never work again !!! ROFLMAO
WTG Bivol you must be the P4P #1 now

It was back and forth over the first 9 rounds, but Bivol got the better of him in the end. The most important thing to understand CJ is that Canelo was taking a risk that other fighters like Floyd or Pacquiao would never take. Canelo was fighting far above his natural weight against the best LHW in the world. Win lose or draw Canelo has nothing to be ashamed of for how he fought. He took a big risk and came up short, but he had his moments against Bivol and gave the fans another entertaining fight. It was a great night of boxing. As far as who is P4P #1 now, Bivol should be up there near the top.

    What?!

    Fighting Marquez 3 more times.

He was accused of ducking black fighters, but fought Bradley (3X), Clottey, Mosley, Mayweather, Broner, Thurman, and Ugas.

    Wanted Lomachenko.

    Thurman at 40.

    Wanted Crawford.

Signed to fight Spence at 42.

Floyd ?? Yes Floyd NEVER took on an opponent he woundnt "beat". Also remember when Canelo refused to fight at 160 when he became the bogus middleweight champ ?? He made his opponents fight at 155. Then suddenly he appears like a miniature incredible Hulk lol Only to pop dirty LOL Give it up man this fight proved two things Canelo cannot win unless he puts weight restrictions plus he has the NSAC backing him up by fighting in Vegas

Yea, and say what you want about Canelo, but fighting Bivol at 175 was a badass move. Floyd would never do something like that, I don't care that Canelo lost, what he set out to do against Bivol was praiseworthy. He took that L but in the process earned the respect of the fans by truly daring to be great.
Cotto was the Champ who was defending the MW TItle at catchweights. Cotto made the 155 demand, in his one defense he fought Khan would also demanded 155. So it's not like Canelo made those 155 demands. He was fighting smaller guys who wanted those fights at 155.
He didn't put any weight restrictions on at 168 and he became Undisputed at SMW. So he obviously proved he can win wthout weight restrictions. But Bivol is a different level of opponent. Beating him at 175 woud be hard for anyone to do. Ask yourself would GGG be able to move up to 175 and beat Bivol? You know the answer.

Ask yourself this my friend If what you say is true why did Canelo refuse to fight GGG @160 & meekly hand back the bogus belt. In doing so turned the majority of boxing fans against him. Heck he was coming in ring at 170 fight nights. For once he didn't have the NSAC & Vegas boxing making sure he didn't lose.
