Listen I like both equally, but the fight doesn't need to happen.

    1. Floyd beat Marquez with eaze something Pac couldn't do.

    2. Pac isn't like he used to be.

    3. Floyd is about to retire and he marked his legacy.

I'm sure it's more reasons than that. People need to stop with these Mayweather/Pac fight threads. It's like Sting Vs Undertaker and Brock Vs Fedor matches that will NEVER happen. Listen they are both legends in there own way. So do you agree or disagree with my reasons?

Seriously man. Because he beat JMM with ease. You think that is a logical argument? And whaty the hell does Sting and undertaker in a made up scenario and a match with fixed result have to do with boxing? Hell what does fedor and brock have to do with it.

Depends what you mean by "needs", if he needs him money wise, then no. But to settle once and for all who was the best p4p of this era, yes he does. True fans not Nuthuggers/ *****s/ *******s are fans of the sport and of what fighters give us as far as entertainment "in the ring" not of personas, or how much money such fighter has. Anybody that looks for a way to defend a fighter for not giving us the fight "entertainment that we deserve" is a nuthugger, someone in love with a personality and not a boxing fan. After all the only thing that we really recieve from fighters is the matches that they give, none of us will ever see a penny of the money they have, or will we ever ride in the cars they have, or sleep in their mansions etc. so let's stop the dickriding, if a fighter is looking for ways to justify depriving us of our due entertainment he should be boycotted.

If you like both of them and if you are a fan of boxing you'll want the fight to happen.

Pretty obvious you just don't want Floyd to look bad, but too late bro. For a champion to relinquish his belt just to not fight his mandatory is enough for people to see it.

    Good effort though.

Manny Got KTFO, Floyd don't need to stoop to that level.

Hardly makes a nuthugger by defending a fighter. I would understand if sergio retired without fighting GGG.

I was giving an example. Basically Sting Vs Taker and Fedor Vs Brock were dream matches that fans wanted to see. That was in their respected sport/profession. The point is in my opinion the Mayweather/Pac fight wouldn't be all that now anyway.

I don't watch WWE. It's other feds out there besides WWE, but lets get back to the topic. Since this is a Boxing forum I just don't see the fight happening. To me Floyd has good reasons for not taking the fight. That's not a coward that's just being smart.

    How do you F L O M O S call yourself boxing fans ? I mean really ?

I mean Ali and Leonard set the standard ! Even Oscar Delahoya yet you want to defend this garbage ?
And the only legacy Floyd has cemented is that with all his talent he refused to fight his closest rival !

I agree it is past do and I am less hyped about it now than I was 3 years ago, but be realistic, this fight will still bring in more revenue than any fight in history. You have 2 guys who are still the top names and talents in their sport not fighting. By the time Brock was on top Fedor was a geezer, and WWE in no way can compare.

That said, both could retire now and be seen as ATG's in 20 years(fighters seem to get there do after they retire.) However this is still the biggest fight of this era. Mayweather/Pacquiao= Ali/Frazier or Duran/Leonard this was and still is a huge opportunity.

Jones has wins over Hopkins and Toney ! Floyd is no Roy when it comes to meaningful fights !
