Thats why Floyd is ducking him. He won't fight anyone who can beat him. Thats why he's ducking Pacquiao, Martinez and Amir Khan

speed, or whatever pac has left. cotto was able to land on floyd and he is not that quick any more. pac could lead or he could counter. floyd wont know if pac will do either. the old pac use to lead all the time. this 1 adapts to what the other guy does. plus pacs defense has improved. it will be like a cat and mouse fight and for floyd at this stage of his career, he cant handle it. as roach said, his legs r gone. pacs legs r better than floyds legs since thats what he relies mostly based on his style

To be fair, JMM can pull that off because of his lateral movement, similar size and low center of gravity, and later in the fight trying the same come-forward maneuver, Pac had adjusted.

JMM can only be the aggressor in spots, because otherwise he'll overstep coming in a straight line and let Manny get his foot on the outside. (I had Manny handily losing the fight, just pointing out the dynamics of that particular move.)

I have a whole thread on how Marquez's lateral movement and general style is more suited for Manny's style than Floyd's is, so I'll stop here for now.

Floyd does not fight in straight lines bro. He may move back in a straight line at times BUT IT IS NOT A HABIT.

Marquez also moves back in straight lines at times. Floyd's feet are quicker than Juan's as are his reflexes and that is MUCH MORE than what Marquez shows.

Floyd is twice as quick if not 3 times as quick to react as Marquez.

  9. Pacquiao just has too many advantages over Floyd.

    Pacquiao is:

    Faster hand speed
    Faster foot speed.
    Better combination puncher.
    Higher work rate
    More power
    Better accuracy
    Better stamina
    Stronger chin
    More heart
    Fought higher quality opponents
    Better footwork
    Better variety of punches

Prime for Prime Floyd will **** on Pac. The only reason why Pac have a chance of upset against Floyd now is bc Floyd is basically done. Floyd hasn't fought near his best since 2005.

THe noobs are coming out of the closet recently. More advantages?

    Size?
    Defense?
    boxing IQ?
Floyd is more accurate, not the other way around
    chin? who knows
    Heart? who knows
Higher quality is a negative too
Noob would think Pac have better foot work. What a joke.
Better variety. Hell no. 4 years ago pac is a one handed fighter. What a loser.

Floyd doesn't have to use as much lateral movement as Juan just to land that punch because of Floyd's reach. Juan and Pac like you said are almost the same size, but Floyd can use different tactics because of his length and how good he is at using it.

For Juan to get into punching range, he has to wait for Pac to lunge forward or he has to come forward himself, either way he's also in Pac's range as well. Floyd will have the luxury of being able to hit Pac at a range that Pac won't be able to hit him.

and Ortiz stands at 5'9 and even he had trouble dealing with Floyd's distancing

  15. Yes Floyd has size and defense.

Pacquiao has the edge in accuracy

Chin, it is obvious is it Pacquiao, not even close.
Heart, Pacquiao again, think it is obvious.

Pacquiao throws a much great variety of punches.

Floyd has a couple of advantages but Pacquiao dominates, just like it will be if Floyd ever grows a pair and steps up to get in the ring with Pacquiao
