Pac has the edge is laughable. Pac's punch land/throw ratio is not even close in compubox compare to Floyd's. as for Chin how can you even say not even close when Floyd never been KD? And for Heart Floyd has shown more heart than Pac. He fought through injuries several times. Besides fast combos from Pac, he is not even faster than Floyd overall in body movement, and single shots. There is not much Pac holds an advantage outside of age and more in prime.
Gonna have to keep agreeing to disagree; pulling straight back and walking backwards into the ropes is fixed into his style. JMM sets up virtually all of his offense off of sideways pivots so that reflexes don't have to come into play as much. Floyd makes it work with all the other things he can do so damn well, but it's been a liability here and there against certain tactics. Floyd's great at judging distance, it's one of his strongest assets, I just think that hanging back to react gives the initial mover an advantage in stepping outside first; just like Ward feinted Dawson into not knowing quite when to move, Pac's footspeed can make Floyd second-guess and give up the space to step into position; it's how Ward was able to move outside and land his left and rights all night, despite lacking in range (not that Manny is Ward, you get my point). Floyd may have reach, but reach doesn't matter when the opponent is off-angle. Not sure why Ortiz kept angling towards Floyd's shoulder the whole time, which is something Garcia instructed. He walked right into that trap over and over.
I guess so. But that is pretty much all you have. It doesn't change that Floyd's skill level is above Marquez and Manny both..and by far. That is more important than "backing up in a straight line." Do you have a video of Floyd consistently doing this just as I have provided a video of how Manny consistently lunges in and over commits on his punches? I'm talking some real footage, not the clips you have been showing...
What ratio got to do with accuracy? Power punches thrown, Pacquiao and Mayweather have similar accuracy, but Pacquiao throws them more often and in combinations, which makes it harder to land. Pacquiao is more accurate. Pacquiao has not been hanging on for dear life vs Mosley, He walked through Cotto, as Floyd will tell you. Floyd couldn't even handle Judah's speed, he got no chance with Pacquiao, and he knows it.
:rofl:rofl:rofl Manny is not more accurate then Floyd. Get the **** out troll. Even pac fans (not *******s) will tell you your crazy. LOL Manny is more accurate. Yea when your mom stops sucking my dick. Someone should ban this dude..**** you talking about... Easy to own posters like this.
"All I have" is considered a fundamental when two opposite stanced fighters face off; lead foot positioning on the outside. Floyd is more skilled than Pac, but considering Marquez has similar accomplishments with half the physical advantages, I'd say their IQ is comparable. If the more skilled fighter won every time, boxing would be a different sport. It's not a videogame where you punch in pluses and minuses and come out with an average result; small or particular dynamics can make all the difference. As for footage, I haven't had the time to make a similar video, but it's plain to see in his fights if you just look. The DLH fight showed Floyd backing up repeatedly by jabs and feints, as does the Hatton fight. The Judah fight shows Floyd backing up and getting caught off balance by straight lefts, or walking straight into right hooks. Even when he's destroying Judah's body in the late rounds, his upright posture gets him clocked as he steps forward by straight lefts now and again. He followed Mitchell around the ring in straight lines and walked into two hard shots on a southpaw angle before finally attacking his body and breaking him down. He gave up position in the center against Miguel Cotto, Emmanuel Augustus, Jesus Chavez, etc. His height proved a liability when trying to turn around Ortiz and walked right into a right hook, and proceeded to scurry straight back into the ropes. He didn't get hit flush many times, but he simply moved straight back instead of pivoting out. His instinct is to back up through the back door, not weave out through the side door. Floyd works wonders setting up traps with his upper body and defensively walking fighters into counters by stepping along the perimiter of the ring, but he's not a fighter who throws while moving. Moving in straight lines is definitely a habit that I'd say Floyd Mayweather Jr. has fixed into his style, which particularly shows up when fighters throw in volume, feint, or turn him laterally.
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=432461 The stats back it up. Pacquiao 49.3% accuracy Maywather 48% accuracy
Pac counter Floyd? Floyd has a weak offense? HA! Pray Tatu is able to beat Marquez this time. He's the same Pacman as always. All Roach showed him was how to use a right hook! He can't even beat a shriveled 38 yr old peepee drinker and you want him to beat Floyd? AHAHAHA!!!
Floyd's traps do seem very large to the rest of his body, a sign of roid use, as you have more receptors there.
1. Please see floyd fights and record against southpaws - Beaten all southies fairly easy. 2. No one has found a way to keep countering Floyds jab 3.Floyd's jab to the body opens himself up for a left handed right hook counter - refer to number 1. 4.Floyd has the D to scare off Pac 5. Which Pac has a hard time controlling - See Pac Marquez 6. Ask Hatton 7. Points are not given for punching volume. It will just leave Pac open for more countering opportunities for floyd :deal
Negative. Your numbers are flawed. Floyd is the most accurate fighter in the game today and probably in the history of the sport. He is very careful with his punches as that is his game. He would not miss 10 punches in a row on an opponent the way Manny did either. Do your homework before you post bro. Floyd lands more and also has a much much better +/- ratio. Highest in the sport actually.:deal Got em.:hi:
