Ken Norton is in the hall of fame, but hes not an all time great heavyweight, you seriously have problems reading. Lol at you saying i discredit fighters when you basically mocked pacquiao and picked him apart in another thread, yeah your very credible.

Green: All I said was that I personally think of him as a borderline great and that, it's a fact, he is in the HOF, though you dismiss him and Holmes' other victories as not being anyone, which is just absurd. I'm not sure your reading comprehension is up to speed, myself.

Blue: Your understanding of irony is deeply lacking if that's what you took away from that comment. I assume you would think of Stephen Colbert as a staunch conservative if you'd happened by his television program. Good luck with your life, mate.:hi:

I asked a boxing trainer a few years ago was he wacthing the Wladimir klitschko fight. He said- I might watch a few rounds on youtube the next day if I remember.
Its only a handfull of internet posters and the Germans that think he is a great champion.

If Waldo manages to remain unbeaten from hereon, without getting his fragile chin clocked by a random bum then every boxing historian will regard him as a great heavyweight and will refer to him in 20, 30 and 40 years from now.

Like it or not, Waldo will go down in HW history as one of the great ones :deal

Of course, a single big punch on his chin can change everything. But until that happens it is what it is.

It depends on who he fights. If he goes up against the young/dangerous up and comers and wins he will be. But he has to take risks and he is not a big risk taker.

I used to be like you. I would look forward to his fights and always watch them until I couldn't take the bull**** no more and decided , im out , finished, good luck and thanks, im done.

Any, and I do mean any, resume can be picked apart.

"What if" H2H/prime vs. prime match-ups means as much as anything to me. A fighter can't help who is active during their era. All they can do is win... and for the most part Wladimir and his older brother Vitali have done that in dominating fashion.

Wlad was stopped by Puritty LKOby11, Sanders LKOby2, and Brewster LKOby5. He had a tough time beating Peter in their first fight (was down 3 times but outboxed Peter for most of the fight).

In rematches Wlad stopped Brewster in the 6th and Peter in the 10th. He never fought Puritty or Sanders in rematches... Vitali stopped both of them though. Wlad beat Chirs Byrd x2 who had a win over Vitali.

Anyway, over the past 8 1/2 years Wlad has gone 16-0 (12) overall and 13-0 (11) in HW World Title Fights. He is also 6-2 (5) in WBO HW Title Fights... so 19-2 (16) in World Title Fights overall. That's impressive!

During this time frame he has beat-
    Williamson WTD5, Peter W12 and KO10, Byrd KO7, Brock KO7, Austin KO2, Brewster KO6, Ibragimov W12, Thompson KO11 and KO6, Rahman KO7, Chagaev KO9, Chambers KO12, Haye W12, and Mormeck KO4.

6'6" with an 81" reach and ripped at 245 Lbs. He is quick, athletic, has a good jab, and punches very hard. He is a smart fighter and uses his height and reach very well. Sometimes he can be a bit boring because he doesn't take chances but it has been a very effective style over the last 8+ years.

I keep hearing about his chin or his lack of a great chin... well, he hasn't been down for over 7 years, he hasn't been stopped in over 8, I don't think it's luck.

I don't know of a single reputable ranking body that doesn't have him number 1, a position he's held for the last 6 years.

That might not be greatness to you but to the majority, it sure is.

Holmes has never beaten a top 15 all time heavyweight, therefore i dont give him more credit than wlad and could easily see larry avoid a fight with wlad, just like he avoided fights with greg page, michael dokes and rematch to tim witherspoon.

for Wlad's resume the amount of southpaws he faced is his strongest point.
People often overlook it but Wlad has faced atleast a southpaw atleast 8 times in his professional career.(Joseph Chingangu, Corrie Sanders, Ibragimov, Byrd, Thompson, Chagaev)
    Vitali and Holyfield 4.

    Lewis/Tyson: 0
Muhammad Ali:Mildenberger (Who was a featherfist and what we would call today a glass jaw)

When you look at southpaws faced and beaten no other potential ATG hw comes even close.
You have Holyfield and Vitali who have faced half as many, but any other either dodged southpaws(Lewis) or didn't fight them for other reasons.

I do think it's often overlooked when people look at Wlad's resume.

Of course he's an ATG. The reason he has no great challengers is because he and Vitali have decimated them all. If Ali had won the first fights with Norton and Frazier, would you have said the same about him, that he never beat anyone? Yeah, Vlad should have fought Sanders again, but Corrie was more in to growing a beard and golfing. Vlad would severely **** up most heavys in history.

He's top 15 now i don't think that can be denied. Though he won't ever make the top 10.

A formidable HW with glaring weaknesses in his make up.
