Mercer was very good fighter but was totally shot when he faced Wlad!!
Haye talented but did not do **** in heavyweight division(Valuev, shot Ruiz shot Monte Audley)
Peter strong good but very limited fighter but far from anything special, good win.
Rahman fought Wlad in 2008 he wasnt even close to his prime.
Chambers i dont know everyone are high on him but to me he is very overrated fighter, could not beat Povetkin.
Chagaev for me one of the bset wins.
Ibragimov please dont mention one of the worst fights ever.
As i wrote he is ATG but he did not have great opponents.

He's been the number 1 for over 6 years now. I have him in my top 15. Anyone serious about boxing history won't have him too far behind that.

For me an ATG is one who's greatness transcends time. One who can his own career against the original greats and match it or better.

the barsetter in the HW division was John L Sullivan. anyone knowing their HW's will class him as a great. Has Wlad matched or eclipsed his career? I'd say yes, yes he has.

Wlad will never 'beat somebody of the same standing' to quote from the O.P because he is so good that there isn't anyone of his level.

Just because 'greats' from the past struggled against their contemporaries does not make them ATGs. Take Ali for instance, if he had been winning all his fights convincingly, would have been a stronger indicator of greatness, than his struggling with fighters of the calibre of Henry Cooper.

Fighters that Wlad dominates would have been ATGs if they'd have fought in bygone eras. Not many of the ATGs from the past would have been able to beat Ibragimov and Haye for example.

I was replying to a post where he had said Wlad had never beaten a DECENT heavyweight notice I cunningly used capitals to highlight DECENT nowhere in my post did I suggest any of those fighters were anything but DECENT so what was your point in replying to my post exactly?
