It's pretty smart to NOT get hit. The brain don't like the punches. But i guess Wlad would have been better if he allowed the opponents to hit him more?

Every punch Sanders connected with hurt him

    Even glancing blows hurt Wlad

...and who the **** did Liston beat? If Wlad knocked Liston out you'd be saying he just knocked out another bum.

    LOL...

    YDKSAB.

Many people thought Prime Mercer did enough to get the decision over a young Lennox Lewis, Genius.

This is the VERY SAME Mercer who got SCHOOLED by the "old retired" version of Holmes.

When did you start watching boxing? Last week?

Listons wins over Cleveland Williams and Patterson are greater than both of the shitschkos careers combined

Liston wasn't demolished by a fat South African golfer

    But...why?

Who the **** did Williams and Patterson beat? Wlad would ****ing annihilate Liston and you know it, take those rose tinted 60s specs off and try to be objective.

They beat fighters from the past, so they must be better.

Please S T O P with this Klitschko nut hugging nonsense.

I agree that Grant was a HBO hype job - HOWEVER, Grant was the consensus #1 HW in the world by virtue of KO'ing Andrew Golota. You can't hold this fight against Lewis.

Same goes for David Tua, he was the consensus #1 HW in the world at the time of the Lewis fight. And BTW - did I mention that the Terminator had already terminated your #1 contender John Ruiz in 1 round?

Golota was coming off the Bowe fights - and NOBODY had put it on Bowe like Andrew did anytime before or since. Can't hold this fight against Lewis seeing as Bowe wanted nothing to do with him and this fight was the next best thing. In addition, Lennox was the FIRST guy to stop Andrew and did it in 1 round. You're reaching by trying to hold this fight against Lennox.

Considering Lewis' resume and the guys he was fighting instead of Byrd and Ruiz - which BTW were fights NOBODY wanted to see - implying that Lewis ducked his #1 contenders in Byrd and Ruiz is just plain S T U P I D.

I think a sound argument can be made to that effect.

Asking the question "who did Liston beat?" brings into question whether or not your IQ is above room temperature...

    :good

By highlighting certain words doesn't make your argument valid, especially when your using double standards regarding opposition.

What your basically saying is it was okay for Lewis to not fight Byrd when he was fighting bums like Grant and fighters like Tua and Botha who would both lose to fighters like Chagaev and Peter.

Regarding Ruiz yes he did get sparked by Tua. But who had the better career and who beat the better opposition?
