Everything you see on TV is bull****. Everything. From Sports, to sitcoms to the news, that's why they call it Television PROGRAMING. Anyway, wrong thread for that.
Again, Lomachenko is a great ATHLETE. Supposedly he can dance and wrestle and he can walk on his hands and stuff, and he has unreal stamina. Boxing ability like Rigo, No. Rigondeaux is old, and he still manages, like Hopkins and Mayweather to maneuver guy exactly where he wants them in the ring with feints, body punches and subtle movement. The first round of Flores-Rigondeaux was one of the best I've ever seen; feel him out, maneuver him where you want him, and Boom! Albeit a half-second after the bell. Lomachenko seems a little bit better than Meldrick Taylor to me. A really fast, well trained guy who just overwhelms you. He's beaten GRJ which was a very good win, and a bunch of fringe-contenders. I don't count the Walters fight, they guy never threw a punch, obvious fix. I still think he beats Rigo in 9 but with 2 weight classes and 8 years he really should.
His face didn't look like that post fight because his defense was great. Wonder what it's gonna look like when Rigs hits it a few times.
Salido was a learning fight, look at how soon he took that fight in his career, and it looked to me like if it went another round he would be stopped anyway Salido. Russell jnr is a fine fighter, again it was his 3rd fight lomo and 25th for Russell jnr and he was a clear winner.
True boxing fans know, it was unbelievable how good that was. A little subtle movement, have your opponent (much taller with longer arms) swinging at air for 2+ minutes. Steady him up with a couple of body shots, feint him into place and when he throws, BOOM. Beautiful ****. I mean, Flores was a young, highly regarded 25-0 prosepect. Guys go on an on about how "Lomachenko made Marriaga quit with 1,000 punches!" Rigondeaux made Flores quit with ONE PUNCH. And he really wasn't even hurt.
