To your fellow classic posters. :good Share your accumulated boxing knowledge and all that fun ****. I'll begin. Aaron David vs Jorge Luis Maysonet. Back and forth slugfest with both fighters hitting the deck. Maysonet shows his 100% KO rate isn't a fluke, dropping the iron chinned Davis when the likes of Breland couldn't do the same. Very good fight that I'm sure most here haven't seen. What've you got?
Ah, another that comes to mind. Up and coming "Dangerous" Don Lee vs Tony Sibson. If I'm remembering correctly there was almost a half foot difference between the two. None the less, great seesaw slugfest between two fighters with huge power.
Jamie Moore v Matthew Macklin Brutal war from 2007 that very nearly ended in tragedy . Not the two best boxers ever but they were both immense that night.
Sibbo vs Don Lee is a fine choice. A few fights that many may not have seen that I think are *******s... Conteh- Chris Finnegan I Minter- Kevin Finnegan II Monzon-Bouttier I Carl Thompson-Sebastiaan Rothmann Nigel Benn-Anthony Logan
Another one that is so good it deserves its own post: Maurice Hope vs Carlos Herrera- a 'little-seen' world title tilt gem.
Yeah, I watched that in a bar in Corfu I recall. Gent looked like a 64 year old non-league football manager.
great display of balls and never say die attitude from dennis though .only vague memories, i wasn't very old. just remember thinking ..." ****ing hell !!"
Benn Logan was ****ing unreal. still watch that from time to time if i'm feeling aggressive.Bizarre and brutal knockout too. Benn Watson is more of the same but slightly slower and more prolongued. It seemed at times Benn was allowing Watson to beat the **** out of him, let him think it was over then BANG !!, come back with a couple of bombs. That was until watson knocked him out with a jab. Great great fight
