recent Calzaghe news states the fight will still go forward in November. I heard from the Lacy, Kessler and Hopkins fight that Calzaghe would get crushed. It hasn't happenned. When will people stop hating on this guy?

Time to load up and get betting at fight time, Jones is quite the outsider in this fight.

what the **** are you talking about

Jones is a shell of his former self. Jones of the 1990's would have never been KTFO by glen johnson.

Jones is going to get schooled in there. He needs to retire.

Calzaghe sprained his wrist! Not suprised after a decade of slapping Super middleweights so hard that he actually KO'd quite a few of them.

    Advantage Jones

First of all, Roy never ducked Joe

Second of all, Jones won't be able to run all night. He doesn't have the legs he once had... right?! I'm assuming most of you Jones haters/Calzaghe lovers know that Jones can't move like he used to

The fight is a sham. RJJ is the best fighter of our era and would have destroyed Calzaghe, but he hasn't won a meaningful fight since 2003 and Joe is only doing this for easy money. It'll be a walkover for Calzaghe, but there is no honour in beating up a faded legend for cash.

Many fighters have had hand problems but it doesn't correlate to them not being a sufficient challenge.

I think fight time was approaching a lil to fast for Calzaghe. He must have spent to much time on vaction after Hopkins

Joe would have been, hence why RJJ kept ducking him and pricing him out of fights, plus, McClennan beat RJJ as an amateur, and was a much better boxer than RJJ, it was a real shame he ever stepped in a ring with Benn, aside from giving us one of the greatest fights ever, it stopped a career that would have overshadowed RJJ by far, plus McClennan didn't have a glass chin like RJJ, and he was less likely to duck the fights Jones did.

The age gap is sumpreme isn't it, I mean only RJJ is aging, Joe is staying young right?

There is a saying, and Hopkins has proved it, as has Joe and others, Form is temporary, class is permanent, if Jones faded some 5years ago, at just 34, maybe he was never as good as people assumed. Tarver pretty much obliterated him anyway, that should tell you about RJJ.

Joe would take him in any era.
