    Wladimir Klitschko
    Vitali Klischko

As for the third, I had no idea. None of them were consistent enough to be called 'dominant'.

Probably have to go along with Valuev. Pretty ugly for third place and a big big drop off anyway from the top 2.

    From your other thread..

Top 3 is hard..usually it's two that clearly dominate or less.

How I see the eras breaking down:

    86-90
    Tyson
    Holyfield
I wouldn't even begin to argue a clear #3 for this timeframe.

    90-95
    Bowe
    Holyfield
    Lewis/Foreman/Moorer

    96-99
    Holyfield
    Lewis
    Ibeabuchi/Grant/Tua

    00-06
    Lewis
    Byrd
    Ruiz

    06-present

    Wlad
    Vitali
    Chageav/Povetkin

Nah, Chageav beat Valuev and Ruiz.

Than you have Povetkin who in addition to lots of irrelevant fights did manage to beat Chambers, Byrd, and Chageav.

Actually, your right==Povetkin is the better choice. He had far more tough fights on his way up than anyone else.

Valuev was nothing if not consistent with his lumbering style and did have that winning streak against those third tier guys. Never hurts being a champ for DKP either. Still more like a Brian Neilsen run more than anything else.

Come to think of it, if Wlad sticks around for another couple of years, he might be top 3 for the 2010-2019 decade as well. That would be an incredible run for the 1996 olympic champ.
