GGG gave recently interview in Astana, very unusual one. He said that he will fight with Canelo within 160 limit and nothing else and it's just PR from Canelo team. The other thing he said that under Good boy he gives credit to opponent saying that he is a good fighter/prospect. He was told that fans were not happy how his team finds him opponents and may be it's worth changing Loefler or K2. He said that Klitchko have zero association with him and Loeffler just acts under K2 licence. He also said that Loeffler is a part of his team and he will have zero respect for himself if he change Loeffler. He also said that it is very hard to organise fights for him. He said that in reality he is not as he is drawn in press, also he will not do any dirty talks or smth similar before fights. He said that he doesn't know anything about fight with Wade or that Korobov is ready for him (he just said that he is happy that Korobov is fighting and that he knows him personally) he doesn't have information about that at the moment. And finally had an opportunity to get info about Ward situation directly although in interview he said that he don't want to speak about that person in any case (there was that question). Basically based on that info Ward is a cynical liar. I am not sure now if the fight between will ever happen. Gena is very disappointed and have zero respect for him and his actions. http://vesti.kz/profi/215666/ Source is in russian language but you can translate it in English, also wanted to note that GGG was very irritated by the dumbass journalists.
Golovkin also as Ilyin (twice Olympic gold medalist, four times world champion, world record setter in weight lifting from Kazakhstan) are in list as major candidates for upcoming parliament elections from the ruling party in KZ.
If it's true , all bull**** aside, I feel for him. He is too good for his own good if that makes any sense. He needs that UFC fanbase and you know what I'm talking about. He needs like minded fans to start building up his cash reserve so that he can be the money generator that HBO wants him to be. Like I said all bull**** aside. GGG is entertaining and is a good fighter, but somebody has to be the bad guy. He doesn't want too but it was already thrust upon him and that is his money ticket in the U.S.. Look at McGregor and Rousey laughing all the way to the bank. Look at Tyson Fury, Gennady better get with the program, everybody loves the bad guy.
