This was posted in the general forum, but I get the impression many of us here do not go there as a habit. I wonder what Mr. Frazier would have to say about the H2H threads we've had on him against these exact same fellows. We've had some good, long discussions on them. Well, long at least. I think good.

How can you even understand him? the guy has brain damage, clearly. The engine's running, but nobody's home. Frazier would have never answered the question this way even 20 years ago.

Obviously his speech is slow, but Smokes wasn't always the best talker.

SusieQ,you bring up a good point,I feel bad for guys like Frazier,Ali,the Quarry brothers etc, guys who just got punched into that kind of condition.Maybe you could start up a new thread, what boxers do not show that kind of ring abuse.George Foreman,Earnie Shavers,Henry Cooper all fought for a good amount of time, yet speak very well.George Chuvalo, took shots all through his career, and seems
    to be quite fine.

I don't know about his speech. I actually briefly met Joe in late 1969. He sounded like that, to me, then. I really don't hear much difference. Maybe my memory is foggy.

Incidently, I understand that, after years of bitterness, Frazier told Sports Illustrated that he no longer holds onto hard feelings for Muhammad Ali. That was good to hear!

I follow Joe on twitter, and he said that he would take Tyson out in three rounds.

owwww, it has been a long time since I've heard Joe at any length and this was just so hard to listen too. Man. Ya know though I am glad he still has that "I'm the best" in him. That was a big part of who smokin Joe was.

I know what you mean. It's always tough when you see your favorites like this. I don't like the way Tommy Hearns is talking these days either.

    Here is the video.

    http://sport.stv.tv/boxing/178172-frazier-i-wouldve-had-no-problem-with-marciano-or-tyson/

"I would have had no problems with Marciano I think."

Round 15 would appreciate the talk of Foreman-Frazier. He talks about being stopped in the first round but in the next fight it going like 5-7 rounds because he was moving.

Frazier clearly is a little brain-damaged. He says he thinks he can take Foreman today because he's in better shape. The guy walks around with a cane and Foreman was a champion in the 90's.
