We can argue all day but at the end of the day & night, the champion, whether it's linear, lineal, angular, circular, perpendicular, triangular, ellipsoidal, oval, parallelipiped, or whatever is none other than Pacquiao, proofs are the never ending attacks & accusations inspite of his ring exploits you & I have witnessd!

All fighter had fought and beat one to another so no champ has cleaned nothing.

 

So Mayweather comes back and is the champ? If he hadn't come back? You can't sit around and wait to see if a guy unretires. The minute he retires you establish a new champ or set into motion the series of events for establishing a new champ. Mayweather retired. He abdicated his throne. Now he has to come and fight to get it back.

It's Mayweather, it doesn't matter if you don't like him or his matchmaking-the lineal champ is the lineal champ.

 

Mayweather. Easy. If not it's vacant. And if it can't be Mayweather becuase of "retirement" it can't be Mosley, since Mayweather was scheduled to fight just 18-19 months after his "final" bout, Mosley won't have fought for 16 months after his previous bout. And like someone else said, if Mayweather retired then unretired, then the retirement is void and didn't exist.

Also, there is no way Pac can be No.1 or 2 at WW, even though a lot have him there. Beating Cotto at a catchweight after he had lost and almost lost again and beating a finished DLH does not make you top of the division.

 

How is Pac even considered for this??
He only fought Oscar at 147 who wasnt even ranked at the weight.
He fought Cotto at 145 not to mention Cotto was not the top WW even then.
So how is Pac the number 1 WW?

 

It's vacant, but Floyd never lost his title, so beating floyd would be the biggest step in the right direction. Let's say Shane beats Floyd, which I don't think he will, then he could say that he is the uncrowned linear champ. But in reality, until the Ring crowns a champ, it is VACANT!

 

Retirement also means losing the title. Accept that.

 

The title is vacant. PBF was the last linear champ. IMO the winner of PBF-Mosley fight should be the linear champ.

 

Define retirement. Sure announcing a retirement means you lose the "official" titles. And like I said Shane's been inactive for almost as long as Floyd was. Maybe Floyd ain't lineal champ, if not it'svacant, but if people don't think that Mosley-Floyd will decide lineal champ then...........idk
