    Athletes unfortunately become role models for people (usually kids).

    Charles Barkley was right in that they should not be, but inevitably people do look up to athletes as role models. Some people take it even more seriously for whatever reason: no father figure, low self-esteem, whatever it is. Psychologists could probably explain it better.

    Floyd is a great athlete but hopefully, kids in need of a celebrity to look up to for "leadership" will find someone else to look up to in terms of behavior.
