He was matched with the PRIME Joe Walcott in a match that I saw with baited breath,along with other fans to see the new Jack Dempsey/Joe Louis. Tommy was the crowd's favorite ,spotting Joe Walcott 10 pounds. But Jersey Joe at his zenith burst the Gomez bubble and stopped brave Tommy in the 3rd round.
