I believe the following should be implemented by the younger generation of fighters on the horizon. It's their ticket to immortality. When you're around 30 years old or so engineer a pseudo-retirement. During your fake retirement sit back and relax while the best in your division beat each other to hell in war after war. After a couple years of spectating come back out of retirement and challenge the last guys standing. Proclaim you're the best of all time--rinse, wash, repeat. Not only will people ignore the possible negative aspects of this maneuver, they will adore you even more. Boxing needs more of this. It's good for the sport.
Exactly, and if the youngsters out there follow this blueprint, they'll have a much better chance of achieving the same. Imagine how awesome it will make this sport.
