I've heard different accounts of this fight...I believe Damon Runyun thought it was close, while other reports had Greb running away with the fight...I guess everyone has an opinion...What was the consensus?

I have the NYT report on this fight and IIRC their summary was that Greb consistently outworked Walker and beat him to the punch, making Mickey miss badly on occasion.

have a hard time thinking of Walker missing a LOT. Greb must of been something. Not even Loughran made Walker miss often.

The account I have is that Greb ,due to weight problems started slowly ,then picked up the pace around the 5th and dominated the rest of the action, reports say that at the finish Walk er was crying with dissapointment ,while Greb put his arms round him and said"youre allright Mickey".Walker in an interview confirmed the story about the after hours brawl,he said they had an argument about the fight on the sidewalk,Greb started to take off his coat and Walker clocked him,Harry went down but got up firing, and away they went ,a big cop stopped them from going too far.
