I mention that only because a sitcom from a while back called Parks and Recreation made mention of that one often. It was the favored drink of one of the main characters and in one episode late in the series he went to Scotland and they had a scene of him looking very pleased getting a tour of the distillery. Sounds terrific though.
Aye, Ron Swanson, he is drinking that dram absolutely consistently throughout that show, it was a triumph of continuity. If you're into them big you won't go far wrong but i'd say Ardbeg is a sliver better. Same idea, bit more refined, but you can't go wrong with Lagavulin.
Good to know. I mean look, I just drank Glenmargorie neat happily, liked it just fine, so I'm not terribly hard to please here. Starting from scratch on this. Bourbon I know pretty well, but this is a new adventure.
I'm sure you're right, but Glenmorangie is a very, very, very tame dram a proper gentleman. But you're definitely ready for something new.
