Here I'm going to post the winning records of some of the great fighters throughout history. It's a work in progress, so bear with me, but by the end of it we should have a nice set of lists to compare. This does nothing for the subjectivity mind, so I'll leave the 'over-the-hill' and 'pre-prime' discussions up to you.

It is intended to be comprehensive, although there may be minor changes at various points.

Disclaimer: fighters listed were rated in The Ring's end-of-year top ten at one point or another. In other words, 'fighters who deserve mention' although in most cases the fighters listed were rated at or near the time they were beaten. Fighters in bold are Hall of Famers.

Not in this format you can't, and even so, it's nice to have it all typed out on here.

 

Well yeah, I'm not a ****ing author. But it is nice to have it all listed down here, all the rated contenders a fighter ever fought. Direct comparisons then.

And yeah I'll do some non Hall of Famers over the next few weeks, mostly ones who are underrated or could be in contention for induction.

 

Yeah, those two are clearly the best, Charles having the greater heights but Robinson prevailing through consistency and a bit more volume. You can see why Pep's a definite top ten but a bit below those two, not scaling the same heights win-wise but having great volume in clearing out the featherweight division and the lower half of the lightweight top ten.

Ike Williams looks great here but once other records are up we can assign him a more accurate spot.

Charley Burley, surprisingly, is lacking in comparison - well, for a fighter labelled by a handful as one of the best ever. Potentially maybe, but not through accomplishments.

 

Henry Armstrong's up. Impressive.
