McLarnin's up. He actually won more fights against Hall of Famers than contenders.

do you think his resume lacks depth out of the big names? (admittadly he has depth in big names)

I don't really think it lacks anything; he's got a decent variety of contenders on there and even more in the elite tier who encompass all styles. The only criticism I'd have is that McLarnin was sometimes guilty of beating up smaller fighters, but then a lot of greats have done that.

i really did not mean to offense anyone , but i think that there are more productive things to do - not only working : studying , independent-studying (self-learning) , etc. and even among hobies there can be better.

thats well in excess of 100 fights against the best middles, light heavies and heavies. Plenty of Hall of Famers as well.

    73–35-22 (1 NC) = 131

He also fought the following boxers that were rated in the Top 10 at one time or another.

    Patsy Perroni - 1-0-0

    106-39-26 (1 NC) = 172

That is by far the most Top 10 contenders that 1 boxer ever fought. The next highest is 109. If you go by percentage wise, Ali is on top with over 80% (49 out of 61).

He also beat Ted Kid Lewis, BUT even though Lewis was a Champion, he was never rated in the Top 10 by Ring because they didn't have ratings until 1925 and Lewis was past his prime by then.

Yeah Rosenbloom's record is astonishing, although he didn't win all of those fights. Him, Langford, Greb, Moore and Angott are my best bets for 'highest level of opposition faced.'

But remember in this thread we're counting just wins.

Nice of you to concern yourself with my social life, but I can assure you I'm absolutely fine and that this only takes up the odd half hour here n' there.
