Watching the first Holyfield/Bowe fight I saw it. Even saw it for a half a minute in Jiminez against Gamboa. How important is it and where does it come from? Is it physical, stylistic, as a result of mental skills, or could it be a combination of things, different things at different times to different fighters? Are there classic examples of how "RP" saved a fighter and changed the course of a fight?

It is mental strength for a big portion.

Some examples are Duran vs Barkley and Cotto vs Torres.

what about the wherewithal to know you're in trouble and to be wise enough to either hold or elude if you have anything left? How does athletic ability play?
