ok these red bull girls gave away free red bull and i dont wnna waste it should i drink it everyone is saying its bad
it doesnt taste very good but if you havent had one before it will probably give you a huge energy boost. its just junk food though, wont kill you unless you make a habit of it.
I'm going to try drinking red bull, not before but during a workout. I want to see if it actually helps. Since it has lots of sugar, maybe it can delay the onset of exhaustion when I'm doing a long cardio session.
I don't use energy drinks myself. I get all the energy I need from my normal daily diet. I have used a sports caffeine drink once on a very hot day during a 22k run and it definitely helped with the last few km as I was near done at 20K. RedBull has very small traces of cocaine so be aware of that if you participate in a sport that requires drug testing. Not sure of the amounts in Redbull would show up in a test but better safe than sorry.
Yes it does and I am not talking about the thailand version but the version everyone drinks. Google it and be surprised. It contains cocoa leaf and so when tested shows up very small trace amounts of cocaine. Germany and Taiwan came close to banning it because of these small trace amounts. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8067970.stm
From Wikipedia, although I didn't get a chance to check their sources. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Bull#Cocaine_controversy
I have a feeling a plant operator was involved in some extracurricular activities while on the clock and unintentionally contaminated a large batch of that stuff....a big maybe. I doubt the company has cocaine extracted from coca leaves as part of it's official recipe.
Red bull has cocaine in it One thing you need to be careful of if you decide to ingest these drinks is that caffeine is a diuretic so if you're not well hydrated it's going to dehydrate you even more. Hydration levels are very important for performance.
Haha, coca leaf extracts must really be that flavorful! The concentration of cocaine is so low, though, I'm surprised it's even news. We all have to eat and drink, while most of us will probably only consume the occasional red bull. So, I'd worry more about the herbicide and pesticide residues in produce and the innumerable pharmaceuticals in tap water than the trace amounts of cocaine in red bull.
