I hear ya there. Good points. But the fighters you named are more on the white side than black. Actually a lot more. And THAT bothers certain people on here as you've witnessed these past 48 hours after Sat. At the same time... Canelo is more white than the coke Oscar snorts but some don't consider him white.? That's great and all but I don't really care , I just say that to get a rise out of CST80 because he likes those Russkies. Since a kid and most of my military career we were always taught to despise the Russians until my ship the USS CURTS FFG-38 became a TAR ship and we actually had Russian sailors aboard. They get to drink on their ships and they thought we could too. These guys were drunk underway on a Sunday,. They were far more "free" than we were. They made all of the "old white men" scared, I LOVED IT! I have no real beef with any of those guys in boxing or in life. They didn't have any ****ing slave ship's that involved my people as far as I have discovered. They have their own problems with 1st world countries too.

 

Apparently they scare a lot of "old black guys" now days pretty bad. Lol! And as far as those "****ing slave ships" All races took part in those throughout history and all races were victims of slavery at some point. But I understand it's just "Your people" you're concerned with as far as that goes. Lol! Another black champ of EQUALITY!! ALL lives matter though right?! I like Russians and have "No Beef" with them also. They're my white brothers and I've had good Russian and Ukrainian friends plus they are some of my favorite athletes. They've also never took part in any of the RECENT ****ing cowardly acts towards my people which I won't even get into here. So I hear ya on those "Ruskies" They Good Peoples

Of course I completely agree that many European nations did grave wrongs to Africans by enslaving them, and pre-colonial slavery doesn't justify that in the slightest.

But I would like to advise you to stick to the facts.

 

When I first started following boxing forums I didn't understand why there is so much drama about this but then I noticed that Americans are simply too invested in these fighters due to racism and racial issues in the USA. Either people love the Eastern European fighters because they're "white" or hate them for it.

In reality Americans don't understand anything about Eastern Europe and Slavic people. We're nothing alike white people in the USA or even Western Europe. We're a different breed of people with unique history. Even though we're "white" under some very simplistic broad definition there's just so much more to Slavic people and Slavic culture. I have about as much in common with a "white" American as I have with a "black" American. Zero.

I live on the western fringes of the Slavic territory deep in Europe, both Italy and Austria are 1 hour drive away from me and I can tell you just how big the differences in mentality and culture there are between Eastern and Western Europeans.

I love Slavic fighters because they're my brothers and come from the same cultural background and Slavic languages are just incredibly similar. Foreign people who don't speak any Slavic language will never understand how fascinating it is that there are people half the world away and I understand half of what they're saying without ever learning Russian and despite my ancestors being totally disconnected from them for more than 1000 years. I'm a pure 100% Slav with ancestry researched back to the late 18th century and I'll always stick with my people. There's nothing racial about this, I don't care about other "white" fighters.
