Tentative start from Martinez just feeling him out. Barker isn't throwing his punches with much commitment looks like he is waiting to get hit after he throws. they are pretty wide punches as well

Sergio's a little cagey. Darren started with uppercuts (actually a good choice) but abandoned them when he didn't have success. 1-0 M

 

Barker's following too much, giving Martinez too much opportunity to think about how he's going to find the target with his left. He needs to keep Martinez guessing more if he's to have success of his own.

2-0 M, Barker did better there, but just advancing for 90 seconds makes him look scared. He landed a nice short right twice, but Sergio adjusted and took the lead in the last thirty seconds to clinch the round, making Darren's knees go a little.

 

Round to Martinez by a narrow margin. Barker is remaining disciplined and not taking the martinez bait to lunge in.

 

Baker's doing well to ensure a 12-round survival.

Barker is not looking like the massive underdog he was made out to be. Martinez is leaning forward with his hands down. Barker holding his own.

 

If Halling makes reference to him being an underdog one more time........:twisted:

I worry for Barker when he throws a left uppercut from that range, he's coming up far too short with it when he throws it like that, and Martinez could very feasibly catch him on the blindside with a left hand over the top. He has to remain wary.
