Good luck for the 6th Gav. I'm coming down for this one, my mate is on the bill in an 8 rounder. Good show there on the 30th too.
I'm in Cardiff all day 2moro so will meet you in pontypool sometime, here is my email address so we dont have to keep putting info on here. This content is protected cheers
I've not been that impressed with Matthysse in the footage I've seen. A good 'make or break' fight for both men, I will definitely be watching with interest. Really impressive performance against Santa Cruz for Zab, but Santa Cruz has always appeared a fairly vulnerable fighter IMO.
Matthysse is dubbed the 'new Valero' so I'm not surprised you're not impressed with him I can't wait for the fight. Judah is generally conceived as a 4 round fighter nowadays, so it'll be interesting to see how Matthysee does if he takes Judah into deep waters if he can get past the early stages of the fight.
Judah can lack heart and intelligence sometimes, but he wouldn't need it for this fight. Rees would get overwhelmed by Judah's natural athletic attributes alone.
He's orthodox though ain't he? He appeared a little 'tighter' than Ol' Edwin, and destroyed the opponent, but I wasn't particularly blown away. Interested enough to view the upcoming fight as one to watch though:good
Matthysse is quite heavily over rated from what i have seen. It will be interesting to see him vs judah, i think zab needs to take the early rounds if he has any chance of winning. Pretty pointless thread though considering rees is at lightweight now
I haven't seen Matthysse yet, just going from what I have read. I believe I read in Boxing News the comparison between Valero, although that was probably down to his high stoppage record and both of them being from South America :yep:good
