Rees V Mallignaggi?

    Gavin Rees is on the comeback and if he chooses to get back onto the world level I think this is a winnable fight or at least one that wont hurt him like the Kotelnik fight cos no way he gets knocked out.

    This was supposedly (well I saw on here) on the cards a long while ago, after the Hatton loss I think.

    I don't mind him as much as some do on here though, he always seems fairly game for a scrap.

    Im not really confident in rees winning on points and paulies chins seems good, I mean he went 12 rounds with cotto but I think Rees at least stands a punchers chance and rees' only defeat was a knockout to Kotelnik and Mallignaggi isnt rly a puncher.

    Hey its worth a shot if rees wants to get back to world level oppostion

    I can't see him beating Pauli, he's never going to stop him for a start, he's not the power and Pauli's chin is very good (reletively).

    To be fair, Mallignaggi is never always superman though and looked pretty poor against N'dou, though I'm not sure any valid comparisons can be drawn between the two fighters (N'dou and Rees).

    Honestly Niether can I but like I said at world level opposition what other options does he have? I mean Juan Diaz has that punchers chance of knocking him out and I cant think of anyone with a big enough name that would be worth watching.

    Either way id be rooting for Gavin all the way

    Malignaggi is about as much of a puncher as Rees is at world class. Rees has stopped one of his last 10 opponents and that was a retirement. There isn't really a compelling case for his punchers chance, or any sort of chance of victory to be honest.

    Besides I read that Lockett wants him at 135lbs and he weighed in at 136lbs tonight so the signs are he'll be campaigning at lightweight.
