Ref: "No talking" - during boxing match...

    Nady " clean fight, blah blah, do you have any questions?"

    Tarver " yeah i have a question, got any excuses tonight roy?"

    Nady " dont ask questions like that"

    as long as it doesnt become a speech that detracts from whats going on in that ring Id allow it to a small extent.

    The only rule I can see that could go against a fighter being allowed to talk would most likely fall under the "you MUST obey the Ref at all times", which allows each and every Ref the mandate to exercise his or her personal discretion when dealing in things issues pertaining to ethics and sportsmanship. What the ref says go.
