"Ref will never ref a big fight again." Was the ref way too biased in favor of Khan?

He called a questionable knockdown against LP, that was more of a slip/push.

And it a ref warns you, then deducts a point and you keep doing that infraction, the ref is within the rules to either take 2 points the next time, or DQ you.

The ref was way too biased in favor of Khan.

And now AK says he wil never referee a big fight again.
    Threats. Connections?

:-( Worse officiating I've seen in a long time. Eddie Cotton was pretty bad for the LL vs Tyson fight but this was a lot worse. He's not going to see a big fight ever again but he still might get to cover some local cards...... off air of course.

He really wasn't that bad it's all being blown out of proportion by Khan. He made some mistakes but to think that he was on the take or really favoring Peterson isn't a fair claim

How much video footage do we need to see to prove this ref warned Khan 5-6 times before he deducted points? How many times should a ref warn a fighter before deductions? He even gave a hard warning. What more should he have done? I think this has nothing to do with boxing fans but Khan fans. I like Khan. Sat ringside at his fight with Maidana. Even though I support him, I have eyes and unbiased views on that fight with Peterson. He used his elbow to push alongside with his arms. That is illegal but he got away with it on too many occasions. Call it what you want, but it was fair.

It was DC.... Not really a fight town per say but it was a championship fight. They should've had a more notable ref who was capable of handling a fight of this magnitude.

From the time he had the fighters touch gloves and told them to throw "thunder" I knew he was too Damn excited and looking to get his own shine. I knew he'd be over board even before the sound of the first bell.

It was not like the Mexican ref in the first Mares/Agbeko fight but it was pretty bad. Peterson should have at least punched Khan in the nuts once, if for nothing less than to gauge the ref's reaction.

In all honesty; Khan is a rather unsympathetic victim. It sucked seeing someone like Agbeko get ****ed over but Khan... Not so much!!!

I was actually looking at the ref early in the fight when he broke them up and yelled at Lamont to put his head up and I was like "wtf? he's head's not below the waist and he's not clashing heads :blood: what's the problem?"

Man, Khan must have more pull with GBP than i thought if he can dictate where refs will work, or not work again. Damn!

The ref did exactly what he was paid to do: Swing the odds in favor of Peterson. He made a lot of money for someone, so you bet he'll be back.

Wait, did you think the promoters are concerned with a fair outcome?

Those in holes shouldnt dig further,Khan will end up looking like the mug he is in this.
Upon review they will find the ref was fair.
