well i think he stopped it too fast...but even if you dont think he did...a ref should get the guy ON TOP off...not then try to straddle the guy on bottom..what the **** was that?
Refs are too eager to big note themselves and jump in looking like some type of hero........ the guy took one but he should've been granted another couple of seconds to recover. What about the little ref walking around the ring like he was some type of athlete :-(
ummmm...did you listen to the commnetary? they said the Ref is also a active fighter...that might explain why he had the athlete/ tough guy walk going. he probley knew he stopped it too fast...knew he stopped it wrong because he jumped on the guy on bottom..and felt embarrsed that he got mounted by a guy who was supposed to be out.
well the fact that the guy could quickly pull a reversal and end up in mount..on a guy who it was said was a fighter suggests maybe the stoppage was just a bit fast.
you think the ref was expecting to deal with a semiconcious fighter going for mount? do you think before you write johnstown...probably not.
The mount actually solidified the referee's decision. The guy obviously didn't know where he was otherwise he wouldn't have been trying to mount a referee.
He managed to mount a referee who was trying to help him up...the other guy would have been pounding his face in. Good call.
