    Ukie, re-watch Savarese-Whitaker. I think it was the 4th round when Whitaker dropped Lou. Listen carefully while Smoger is counting (he's wearing a microphone) and after the count of '8' you can hear Smoger coaxing Lou to get up. A really impartial referee that Smoger.

    Ever see when Mercante's kid does the same thing when Yuri Foreman fought Miguel Cotto?

    If Liston lived, maybe he could've gotten a gig as a boxing referee after he retired from boxing. It would be something if Sonny Liston was the ref for Tyson/Spinks.

    Did not see that. Now you've piqued my interest. I have to check it out on youtube. Y'know, I have no problem with a ref grabbing two fighters and telling them to pick it up, but when a fighter is down or on the ropes, it should be treated as impartial as one can.

    Mercante had an entire weird narration going on as Foreman was being hurt and going down. Outright bizarre, seemed like he might of had a few bucks on Foreman. :risas3:
