Comparing RJJ to Vitali is like comparing a Lambourghini to a Ford Pinto.

 

We need someone posting other Vitali dodge examples. Absurd, irrational haters notwithstanding, the fact is Vitali fights much like Ali, and relies on incredible reflexes and height, along with chin, to avoid or withstand punishment. While there are many better examples than this clip, the noteworthy thing about this is Vitali dodges the blow, then immediately returns an effective one, which is impressive and a big difference between the Ali and Tyson clips. Hopefully someday a VK fan will produce and post a compilation of many of Vitali's great examples of reflexes, as Ali fans do. They both have an incredible resume in that field, just rewatched the Chisora fight today and his reflexes at 40 are still incredible.

I think Vitali actually peaked at 28-30. I know he's still going at 42 and in incredible shape, but he was ****ing awesome, a wrecking machine, before the Byrd injury.

 

they really need to play the great white hype on your local cable providers so people can just have a taste of better days when things were so much simple

Took me a while to register that it was two human beings in the video. Thought it was a fight between a Tiger and Cheetah with the cat-like reflexes displayed by both fighters.

Great reflexes. I remember how fast he was to quit after the 9th in the Chris Byrd fight.

 

Vitali's defense was very underrated.
