I agree. If PBF fights and beats Pac he's too small. If he beats Cotto he was ruined by Margo. If he fights Shane he was too old. If he fights Williams he was drained. It doesn't matter who he fights or beats there will always be excuses and people won't be satisfied until he loses then they can call him a joke and discredit him like people did RJJ....****ing pathetic.:-(
Cotto beat Mosley. I didn't see any difference in handspeed between the two in that fight. Judah had faster hands than Mayweather and I think Mosley and Pacman do too.
Nobody is saying Shane is too old, hes the champ. Nobody is saying Pac is too small if he manages to beat Cotto. The problem with Floyd is he never fights anyone with even a remote chance at beating him. Marquez had all the chips stacked against him, nobody was betting against a Floyd victory. In the DLH fight Floyd was the underdog but that was years ago, and at the time DLH was already past his prime. He gets credit for beating DLH, and Judah, but he wont fight Clottey, or Mosley, or Cotto, or Williams, or Margarito, or Berto. Shane Mosley has fought Margarito and Cotto. Cotto has fought Margarito and Clottey. Williams has fought Margarito. Margarito has foght Cotto, Williams and Mosley. These fighters all have losses on their records because they are fighting the best fighters in their division. Who has Floyd fought? You can be a fan all you want but who has he fought? Why is his resume more impressive than Cotto's or Mosleys in this division? I'm not talking about who he fought as a lightweight, I'm talking about this division.
I stopped reading right here. PBF was the favorite in that fight as well. :dealKnow what you're talking about before popping off at the mouth.:-(
does not matter, there is always going to be an excuse .. Floyd fights a fighter that is phisically smaller then himself the first time in his career, al of a sudden he's a cheater atsch Everyone seems to forget Oscar beating the **** out of gatti or better yet what gatti did do Gamachi .. Or how about Castillo and corrales both weigh in at 147 to 150 in their matches against floyd.. but none of that **** matter right?!?! none of these guys are cheaters, even though it was not the first time in their careers that they used their weight to there advantage to KO and injure other fighters. Yet Floyd is the scum of the earth atsch Maaaan **** you guys
I guess that means there's no point in pac fighting Cotto, because Cotto will knock him out halfway thru. Are you a Pac fan? Do you think Pac has a chance? and why?
If Pac manages to get thru Cotto? This debate that Marquez is too small must mean that Pac has no business in the Welterweight division. Cotto is too big for him along with the other welters. So why is it ok for Cotto or Berto? Why doesn't Pac fight Bradley? It's because there's more money in the Cotto fight for Arum. Floyd ain't the only one chasing paydays. Floyd fought a bigger ODL and a bigger Carlos B. to answer your question. Pac fought a much smaller Oscar, and his popularity seems to be just fine. His resume is impressive because he's undefeated. He'll fight these guys soon enough, and win. All my money is on Mayweather.
Maybe out of topic, but I've got some questions: Why did Mayweather have to use a catchweight to lure a smaller man to move up in weight to face him? And why did he not even care to make the weight then? Floyd claimed he never liked the idea of a catchweight anyways - that was after the fight was signed. If Floyd didn't like that catchweight of 144lbs in the first place, why didn't he then opt to face a real welterweight instead of a man who had to move up so much in weight? Someone answer me that please.
OK... which one is it? Does a two-year layoff make a huge difference in what we can expect out of a fighter who makes a comeback? People don't want to give him credit for being so dominant after such a long layoff. -Because the layoff is just not that big of a deal. Yet some of these same people will not give Paul Williams credt for moving up in weight and beating the **** out of Winky Wright, why? Because he had just come back from a long layoff....:huh
Floyd needs a distinct advantage at this stage of his career it seems. I really don't like the way he handled the weight thing with JMM, it was ***** and it doesn't show class or respect.
