Arum is hell bent on this fight happening , but what would we prefer to see !!!!!! Do we as fans really want this fight , after Juanma's last show would the fight be competetive ??? , has he even defined he is the best in his division ???? This is what i would prefer , but lets do a poll for it !!!!!!!! Juanma - Caballero - Unification John - Gamboa - WBA Title Fight
John-Gamboa and I think Gamboa-Mtgawa is the dumbest fight. Picking up the scraps of a lighter weight. I just cant take Gamboa seriously until he actually beats sombody good.
Cant beleive there's a boxing fan out there which would wanna see : Gamboa - Mtagwa (are you kidding me) And Juanma duck Caballero and fight Luevano !!!!!! Un beleivable man ..............................
WTF? Mtagwa almost upset the so-called future P4P King, came close to win both by knockout and on points and produced an extremely TV-friendly fight. How the hell is he not legit? Mtagwa fought as high as 130, and if his recent performance does not make him a legit contender, I don't know what is. He may repeat the performance and give Gamboa hell, altough I think JuanMa fans biggest fear is that Yuri will look better. So what? They'll have the chance to fight each other if both move through. Mtagwa, a damn exciting, tough-as-nails, common opponent makes perfect sense to set up the superfight. While JuanMa-Caballero and John-Gamboa would be an awesome double-header, I think both fights are big enough to get their own show, and no way Bob would've spent money for 2 fights that big. Hell, he didn't even spend money on JuanMa-Caballero, a realtively cheap fight, despite he PROMISED he'll look into the fight (only to absolutely ignore Celestino despite fan demand). How the hell JuanMa-Luevano, a fight NOBODY wanted, makes sense? Caballero might've screwed Arum's plans, that's why. But with Luevano being in his stable and not being a big puncher, even if he does enough on points, Top Rank will use all his influence to protect JuanMa, the more marketable fighter. Luevano is set up to lose. Believe me, after Lopez-Mtagwa, it's a lot safer fight than Gamboa-Mtagwa.
