Well, this is proboxing, involving proboxing people. I'd say mandatory Chagaev shouldn't be a problem. Pay him to step aside, get your doctor to disqualify him because of his hepatitis, ask for a special favour of the WBA. I'm sure it is possible. It's concievable that Wlad did

on purpose, perhaps to put pressure on Haye, and I'd like to know if it was.

It's a part of the equation too. Money talks now.

in the end it will make financial sense for both fighters.

Wlad can get a new tv deal after the Chisora fight and Haye gets rid of ARD and Sauerland if he fight Chagaev

Let me give you a different perspective. If you have a deal possible for July that will make you good money, but in the meantime you can do another deal for bigtime money, why wouldn't do both? Why should YOU lose this interim money deal because the other company has internal issues? It's not YOUR problem, it's THEIR'S.

Wlad can choose to fight once or twice before August, he is capable to do both and he can decide what's the best for him. So why should he lose millions of Euros if he could fight TWICE, but give up the interim fight and sort the Chagaev issue out on HIS expense, because Haye couldn't? Sorry man, but it's Haye's job. Haye could've fought Chagaev last year, but you say Audley made more money sense. He could face him in April off PPV, but you say if not PPV, it doesn't make money sense. And he can pay Chagaev a step aside money, problem solved, but it makes Haye lose money. But take Wlad's prerspective: he could get TWO paydays till August - so why should HE give up €10.000.000 facing Chisora just because HAYE has mandatory problems, but didn't solve it last year (money over mandatory) or this April (off PPV doesn't bring enough money). You argue that anything Haye does should make money sense. But how's Wlad giving up € millions makes sense for him if he's capable of fighting twice, and the only reason he should give Chisora up because Haye doesn't want to fight Chagaev-off PPV, or pay him off? Why should Wlad pay for Haye's problems?

I think this will happen! booth asked his promoter for his medical records today for a showdown in may.

I have no doubt the fight will happen i do see from Wlad side if he gets the fight out the way with chisora and haye gets his manditory out the way them they fight Aug/Sep. Boxing is all about money now and its a bit like wwf its all about the show :hey

The fight will happen both Haye and Wlad will not want to loose out on this fight WAY WAY to much money

From what i gathered on ringside, Haye really wants Wladmir, possily because he sees him as the weaker of the two but also he is the lineal champion so that will be a hug factor.

Bonete seemed worried when boioth said they want wlad and he certainly prefers vitali vs haye.

either way wlad is acting like a pansie, chisora has no business in the same ring as him, i dont see what is stopping him from taking this fight in may, and david also taking this fight in may.

I doubt the reason is to teach huim a lesson, if he had that much confidence he would te;l the peole he going to teach haye a leson in the ring and earn a significant amountof money.

It says it all actually. You posted a very important piece of info but then go on to completely ignore it and blast Wlad instead. Too late, dude, Haye had his chance with him but chose Harrison and the British consensus back then was that it was a 'smart move' by Haye. Reap what you sow.

Again, that whole reap what you sow does not sit with the business attitude of the brothers, with the money the fight generates and their desire to get 50% of it. I'm not buying it. It's cutting your nose of to spite your face on the grandest level. You want to teach him a lesson, get in the ring with him, knock him out cold and take 50% of his millions in the process

Simply put: Why would Wlad agree to Haye as his next fight when he is contractually obligated to RTL? Surely it makes more sense to fight Chisora as his last fight on his current RTL contract and use his "career defining" fight with Haye as a massive bargaining chip for a new contract?

Same point for Haye and Saurland.

I made a half tongue in cheek post in another thread about something similar. It was mainly made to illustrate that we don't REALLY know what is going on behind the scenes and can only judge through the soundbites in the media. These aren't stupid people and Hayemaker and K2 are all about the £££

Here's what I posted in case you're interested:

For example for all we know there may be no real falling out and the fight may be all set for later in the year. Wlad might be finishing off his current TV deal, knowing that he can re-negotiate a far more lucrative a TV deal based on the Haye fight that will add millions more to the pot. Haye fights gets his mandatory out of the way and shakes off some rust, Wlad fights chisora and does the same - hey presto they have a fight with no step aside money, no time constraints and a good few million more in the pot. In the meantime both fighters blame each other for this fight falling through via the media, the beef continues, fans on message boards continue to debate who's to blame and the interest in the fight remains.

    Anything could be happening.

    I mean, that's if you're being cynical . . .

    Recap:

In 2008 David Haye called out both Klitschkos and promised to clean up the heavyweight division. Since then he has consistently avoided actually fighting the brothers. Now it seems Haye does want to fight. Haye wants to fight Wladimir. The Klitschkos want Haye to fight Vitali.

Haye can fight Vitali in a career-defining mega-money fight. He has always promised to beat BOTH brothers. Now it seems he is finally serious. Vitali is available. What is Haye waiting for? Why should Haye choose which brother he gets to fight? Haye is THE CHALLENGER. Nobody ranks him #1. His best win is Valuev, who lost to Chagaev, who lost to Wladimir. The Klitschkos are the CHAMPIONS. They get to call the shots.

Come on man, the fight is happening. The best thing that has happened to both fighters is that first fight not coming off. It was a blessing in disguise. SInce then Haye has got a himself belt and a lucrative PPV deal. The fight is worth 10x what it was a year and a half ago.
