    No, its a reach to make an excuse that Holyfield lost to Ibragimov and Byrd 5/6 years later. And therefore there was no mileage in fighting Holyfield for the Bros
    Holyfield was no6 in2001 and Wlad was no 1 are you seriously saying Holyfield would
    have refused a fight with the number one contender? Its absurd!
    The kindest thing you could say about that is it is selective memory recall with the emphasis on "selective."

    What I have pointed out is that both brothers were ranked during the time the names I mentioned were ranked and often for several years.

    How any individual "interprets " that is down to his own " objectivity".

    What excuse Holyfield was fighting for the WBA title. There was no need for him to fight Wlad or Vitali. Holyfield would of taken the fight had he needed to, Holyfield fought everyone but at that time his dance card was booked. I remember it very well. I brought up Ibrigamov and Byrd fights because had Holyfield won those matches he would of faced Wlad he lost them. You're trying to make a non issue an issue.

    Holyfield would fight anyone.

    My point is why didn't the Klits fight him!

    He was ranked in the top ten for several years prior to the fights you mentioned as they were, but neither faced him.

    The issue is why?

    There is no issue. You're trying to manufacture one. This is the first I have ever even heard of this being an issue with anyone. I have said numerous times Holyfield was engaged with Ruiz and that was his priority at this time.

    I'm manufacturing nothing.The Ruiz fights were between August 2000 and December 2001 a 16 months time span..In 2002 Holyfield was no 4 Wlad no 1 and Vitali no 7.

    Holy was on the decline by the time Wlad and Vitali became champions.

    There was never a demand for the fight, not was there anyone who thought Holy would defeat either Klitschko after his three forgetful matches with Ruiz.

    From 2001-2008 Holy won just 6 of 13 fights, losing to the likes of Ruiz, Byrd, Toney, Donald, Ibragimov and Valuev.

    Sure he should have fouht Wlad or Vitlai! Tragedy could have happened if he did.

    Holyfield was number4 in 2000 ,Wlad number 6

    Number 6 in 2001 Wlad number 1

    Number 4 in2002 Wlad number 1
    The tragedy might have been Wlad getting beat.
