What a great response. Just the kind of response you want to hear from a fighter. No "oh, its the promoters job" BS response most fighters give. I didnt like Amir Kahn before last night. He earned me as a fan last night thats for sure. I dont think he can beat Maidana tho. Your thoughts on how far he gets in the 140 LB division?
He has the potential to take the division. He needs to show a convincing defeat of Maidana first for me to really get behind him as an elite fighter though.
I like his response also. No ducking Maidana for sure. He's got the tools to be the top dog in the division.
Alexander isnt that good. He beat a 1 dimensional Urango. thats not enough to put him a the top of the division. HBO is just Hyping him up.
Khan is clever going for Maidana. A big puncher but limited boxer who he should take care of. Alexander and Bradley are both good boxers with pop, so his chin might get tested more against these guys than with Maidana.
Bradley should kick back and watch them kill each other. Khan, Maidana, Ortiz & Alexander. Then the winner of the winner get's a crack.
I wouldn't say Bradley is limited. Whilst he may appear limited in the skills department in comparison to Alexander, in the overall scheme of things i think he is a well rounded boxer. He, unlike Alexander, is also proven at a higher level. I think another thing Bradley has which he is often not given much credit for is the fact that he has a decent boxing IQ. Now im not saying that Bradley will be the more successful of the two or that he will beat Alexander, but i do think until Alexander is tested more we don't really know everything about him.
There shouldn't really be a top dog at 140 considering Pac beat Hatton and no one in 140 is going to get a shot at Pac anytime soon so if there is going to be a box of between the top guys then Bradley should be in it. However if you had to say someone is the number one JW at the minute i think you would have to give it to Bradley based on his resume.
