I read recently that Brewster plans on taking a tune-up fight then wants to rematch Klitschko in a rubber match sometime next year. Despite how it looks on paper (1-1).. I'm interested to know if anyone here thinks he did anything to deserve another rematch? Personally I feel he was in no way competitive in their last fight, much how he was in their first fight untill Wlad gassed. Much worse he quit on his ****ing stool (despite how much more "heart" he apparently has than Klitschko), he also threw in a few snide remarks to try and cheapen Klitschkos victory but we needn't go into that.

He would have to do something big to earn it. Klit has gone on to bigger things. After a unififcation with Sultan, he would be responsible for both Thompson and the Povetkin-Chambers winner.

Seeing as how the WBC belt is three fights booked, if Lamon wants another crack at Wladdy, he'd better start targeting Chag and the WBA belt to tempt Wladdy with another unification. Frankly, I don't think he could pull that off.

Klitschko beat im in 10 of 11 rounds they fought and collapsed in the first fight in weirdest way I have ever seen. Brewster needs to keep religion out of the ring, just like Holyfield it deludes him to believe God is in someone's corner in a boxing match.

No. I think you need to watcht that again. Wlad didn't even look that hurt, he looked like he had just ran a marathon and then immediately had sex for about 7 hours.

Klit would kill Brewster if he fought him again.

    No way it happens.

All he did to earn the rematch was get beat by Sergei Lychiavch and sit out for a year with a serious eye injury!!!! Brewster wasnt in any condition to fight in that rematch, mentally and probably physically with that injury playing on his mind.

Thats kind of my point. He has to prove he still has something left. He got that second match because

    A) Wladdy wanted to avenge a defeat
    B) He has the name of a champion one fight removed from a credible reighn

But it is now apparent that at this stage in their respective careers, Wald is light years beyond him.

That is partly because Wlad has improved, and partly because Lamon has deteriorated, but regardless, it jsut is.

Lamon was acutally my favorite heavy during the post-Lewis years- I liked him better than Vitaly. I wish Lamon well. We was aclass act, a fighting champion, and agood role model. I loved the way he talked about how god and positive rap music saved his life. He is man and a champion forever.

But we can't live int eh past, and if he wants the rubber match, he's got to prove he deserves it.

I think Brewster should just retire. It looked like he was just there with Wlad for a last payday.

Klitschko was drugged. The nature of the way the fight played out, the people involved and the sudden and dramatic last minute shift in the odds all indicate that the fix was in. Fixed fights in boxing are like Insider Trading in the Stock Market, of course it happens, but even those who dont participate in it or condone it won't admit it for fear that the people will lose faith in the system and cease to patronize it. The only thing more delusional than thinking everything is a conspiracy is thinking nothing is a conspiracy.

unless brewster has a title, fighting him is pointless. so get yourself a title shot, lamon, possibly in the wba, until then don't waste wlad's time.
