No, it didn't. Brewster would never have been able to land those bombs had Wlad not been drugged. Oh, that's right. Crooked things NEVER happen in the world of professional boxing, right? Never mind the fact that the odds on Brewster went from him being like a 40-1 underdog to a 7-1 underdog instantly. Hmmm, now why would someone bet MILLIONS of dollars on a huge underdog that had Don King as a promoter?....Hmmm....
"..I remember Roy Jones laughing and making fun of Wlad because he was hurt by a stiff jab, after that he said "He could never handle me in the ring with that kinda chin"."..and you believe it?!
Brewster and his people bragged about how tough Brewster is and how weak Wlad is mentally only to go on and quit once he realised that Wlad wasnt going to fall over again. And Wlad made Brewster quit with his jab alone. No need for this fight and Brewster sure as hell doesnt deserve it.
:thumbsup Country vs Country is the only time i really like Soccer. They play hard enough to qualify but will play lazy come game time. The non communist era of Polish Soccer has spoiled the players. They lost that hunger they had back in the 70's 80's
Sure, he wants a rematch, cause Klit is where the money is. I bet anyone would want a rematch with the biggest name and biggest draw in the division. But I am not sure he deserves one, as he did quit on his stool, and was getting pounded in BOTH fights, for the most part. But as you said, they are now 1-1, so an arguement could be made to let him have a third fight with Klit.
Brewster is finished. He took severe damage in his last two fights, both of which he lost. Brewster lost the WBO belt to Liakhovich, who then got beaten by Briggs who then got easily beaten by Ibragimov. Brewster has also been very inactive in the last two years or so. Who says Brewster would even beat anyone in the top 10 at this point?
well, seeing as how wlad doesn't have a trilogy I guess it could happen I guess but not anytime soon. I wouldn't mind seeing it if it was a mandatory, but I would rather see wlad go after the title holders.
Bad decision, if he wasn't able to do much of ANYTHING at all in the rematch then how the hell will he change that after a tune-up? He's better off going for another title, a fight with Samuel Peter would be challenging and exciting.
Well you see thats the point. No one ever made excuses about the Sanders fight because there was no mystery. Wlad was caught cold by a hard hitting, quick fisted, southpaw, end of story. The fact that no Klitschko apologist ever attempted to excuse this loss bolsters their credibility rather than lessens it, when they question the inexplicable Brewster fight.
The only fight where Wlad "gassed out" was Purrity, but he was young, it was the 11th round and Purrity has never been knocked out. Again, no mystery and so, as far as I know, no cries of foul play. On the Mercer fight you're just wrong. You might be thinking of the bruising/discoloration under Klitsckos eye but there was no unusual signs of fatigue despite a blazing pace.
It could be as simple as Wlad shot his load too early or it could be more like there was something wrong with Wlad's blood sugar levels which drained his energy. I think it's the latter myself.
