40 mill is exaggerated, but 20 mill is very realistic. These tickets won't be sold to average boxing fans; these are for big spenders and this fight has a global appeal.

 

:good I personally don't believe they'd use that same ticket structure, as I don't see that many people paying those prices for the fight. I don't think increasing the stadium size for that many people will attract a lot more high rollers. You'll have your number of high rollers, but adding 30k seats and expecting that many people to spend around $200+ per ticket I just don't see. I think a big stadium is for a bunch of casuals, who aren't going to want to pay over $150 for nosebleed tickets.. But I guess that's just me.

how is Pac supposed to fight on a Glden Boy card, when he is under contract with Bob Arum. It doesn't make business sense for GBP to be involved in a Pac vs May fight.

 

They're not fooling anyone. All of this talk of revenue is just a ploy to duck this fight. Are they kidding me? 45000 seats? De La Hoya-Mayweather took place in the MGM and it was the highest grossing gate. The PPV was the highest ever and it was on May 5th at the MGM Grand. I don't know what the hell these guys are talking about. They're just bullshittin' around. They don't want to put Pacquiao in there with Floyd. He will lose and game will be over. Aflac Pacquiao better duck this fight, continue to fight stiffs, make their money, and retire soon. Forget about Floyd. Everyone knows it was all just a big hoax. Manny goes his way, Floyd goes his, and we all move forward and look for summit meetings in other divisions with the young budding fighters. Us fans can make stars of them as well.

 

30 million dollars extra for 30 thousand seats is $1000 per seat.. You guys think 30 thousand extra people would go if it wasn't at the MGM Grand, paying $1000 each? Seriously this shouldn't even be up for debate..

No the average price of all tickets would have to be 1k, they wouldn't be sold for 1k each literally

Even if the average ticket was 800$ then it would generate around 36 million + depending on how many seats are in said stadium.

 

If it's a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight then Bob Arum and Top Rank will then co promote with Golden Boy.... At the moment the only people involved are Floyd and GBP. Stop using this as an excuse you look juts as sad as Bob Arum.

Mayweather uses GBP to promote his fights he has a good relationship with them, likes them and trusts them. Are you really trying to justify Bob Arum and Top Rank being the sole promoter of this fight and Bob Aum making all the money?

 

arum mentioned way back when ellerbe announced floyd is fighting that "little fella'" the jerry jones has upped his site fee from 26mil (in their 1st proposed fight) to 30mil this time.

is mgm even paying a site fee for this fight if it happens there??
