OK, i've heard many people who support Pacman in this fight say something like, "If the Manny that showed up against Diaz shows up against DLH, he should be big enough." IIRC, Pacman was at 145. That would be 2 lbs below the WW limit.

But i think what these people are ignoring is the fact that DLH will probably weigh around 160 come fight night. So there might around 15 lbs difference in fight night. Don't you think it's a little dangerous to look at a man's weight on fight night to judge his size? For instance, Clottey has weighed close to 170 a couple of times at WW. Is he a MW now? All fighters come in over the weight limit on fight night, some noticeably more than others.

What are your thoughts on the weight issue for this fight?

I dont think Oscar will rehydrate to 160 by Saturday night. He will weigh in probably at 146 on the money, to "prove his critics wrong" Now if he is living on the Treadmill, and has a nutritionist, a Personal Trainer, and a chef with him in Big Bear, he will make the weight. BUT it will affect his legs and his stamina a lot. Remember Antonio Tarver, when he fought Borenard? Remember RJJ when he fought Tarver? This was the effects of losing over 15 pounds, when you arent carrying that much bodyfat to begin with. Oscar at this point is a good 6-7 round fighter. Then his stamina issues come in, and making this unnatural weight for him will take it's toll along with some Manny Pac bodypunches.

You do realize that living on the Treadmill, eating oats and wheat all day, and shitting water for hours at a time will allow you this. How do you think your boy lost 25 pounds of muscle when he decided to take on his Daddy, Antonio at 175?

Well, i think you're exagerrating on all acounts. DLH purposely brought his weight down to the WW limit about a month ago to get his body used to the weight. He even admitted that he was dizzy and tired the first week or so but he's getting used to it. I always thought that 154 was a bit over his ideal weight. He always had a bit of extra on him. He had no business at MW. Comparing his weight loss to RJ's weight loss of 25 lbs of pure muscle in less than six months is another case. Let's not forget that DLH fought at 150 in his last fight.

And i don't think he's killing himself to stay at this weight as you are stating. That's a bit extreme.

DLH was 150 when he fought Lil Stevie Forbes and guess what? He couldnt do **** to Forbes. Where was this awesome power he had against Mayorga at a more natural 154? It were gone, baby just like the tarantula dat Miss Rudolph made crawl on Mudbone, dat time in her home. At 147, he is even more drained than he was at 150. And his power wont be enough to ko an even stronger Manny Pac.

Steve Forbes is one incredibly slick and cagey fighter. He doesn't fight to win. He fights not to look bad. If you want proof, look no further than the Forbes/Berto fight. Berto threw everything he had at Forbes and didn't land too many flush shots and Berto has about as much hand speed as anyone alive. Just shows how cagey and slick Forbes is. He even timed Berto a few times and stunned him coming in.

I thought DLH looked good against Forbes. Yeah, Forbes got in some good shots but DLH dominated the cards. It was a tune up for PBF and he looked light on his feet and bouncing on his toes.

Against a 2nd tier fighter like Forbes is one thing. Manny Pac is the best in the sport, however.

Oscar has to effectively go to the body early.

Sometimes I'd like to see these guys out in the parking lot after the official weigh-in, one with a BigMac in his hand and the other with a Burrito Supreme talkin' **** like, "Yeah-you wait, Mother****er".

Oscar will be 146 at the weigh in, with some ripped abs. But this is only the 1/2 of it. Post round 7, this weight loss will take it's toll on his stamina and legs and post round 7 is when Manny starts warming up.
