It clearly appeared that every guy Haye's camp brought in went at him hard in sparring. However, once that very brief clip of some sparring was released, there were people on here talking about how Wilder looked bad in it. I honestly think most of what those people said was tainted by a bit too much hate.

Sure, Deontay Wilder has a lot to prove to most of us boxing fans. He still has a quite a way to go in development as a Heavyweight prospect. But he touched Haye up pretty good in the sparring clip from where I was sitting. :smoke

Haye also landed on Wilder, but to be honest, I didn't see Wilder "look like he was going down" at ANY point. Wilder is tall and a bit top heavy, so he naturally looks like a tree swaying when a gust of wind blows in his direction. But he wasn't anywhere near hurt in that footage.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of David's sparring partners really did put him down. It seems odd that they even posted any footage of him sparring at all for this camp. Seems like that only happened because of some PR scrambling.

Then, we have the actual fight being called off with just a week to go. Why was Haye doing a "heavy spar" with only a week to go for Fury, when he stopped sparring MUCH earlier than that for a superior opponent in Wladimir Klitschko? Then he gets cut bad enough (with headgear on) to cost him a payday.

Hopefully The Hayemaker's cut heals thoroughly and he can get back in the ring with a good opponent. The man is usually an exciting fighter and has very good boxing skills. Would be good to see Haye vs Fury in the near future, when both are at their best.

    Are you srs?

So you missed the part where Haye hit Wilder clean with the right hand and Wilders legs went as stiff as my junk in summer time.

Come on Gilfoid, back to your blog writing.

Haye hit him with a short overhand right flush on the jaw and Wilder went as stiff as an iron bar.
