Is not about hating man, and you know it. Never seen before so many deluded wladimir fans. How do you explain that?
It is about hating. Some idiots are comparing Wlad to Ruiz....John flipping Ruiz. Is that a sick joke? That is like comparing Mike Tyson to Ruslan Chagaev. Yes Ruiz had success, but he won the title from a half dead Holyfield. Then won an interim belt and held that hostage. Also lost to a lightheavyweight RJJ. Wlad will be remembered as an ATG, regardless of how "boring" his fights are. Same goes for Borenard Hopkins.
I appreciate Wlad, and I always argue to my uncle and dad, that he is underrated. They laugh and say the 70's era boxers would have destroyed the Klitchko's. I think they are great boxers who would have been competitive in any era, if not champions, maybe even dominant. However, that fight on Saturday was almost unwatchable. That's not hating, it just wasn't a pleasing fight to watch.
it becomes more and more difficult to even muster caring about the Wlad after each fight. Yeah, he's dominant, but how anyone could get any enjoyment from watching that fight is beyond me.
Wlad travels to Povetkin's back yard, fights an unappealing fight at 37, and still beats his top contender by more than a dozen points. Like Hopkins, people aren't going to appreciate just how hard it is to beat him until he's well past his physical prime (he's already slowed down) and still dominating. Dude's an ATG.
Convinced that none of the midgets from the past would have a chance against Wlad's craftiness. No matter how good infighter you are, Wlad will neutralize you on the inside and jab your head off on the outside. Only someone of similar size and great boxing skills could have a chance, and there aren't many of them in history.
My only complaint is Wlad didn't get the KO, other than that it was a one sided domination again. 16 in a row and Holmes's 20 defences is in sight.
This, regardless of how it looked (Povetkin initiated his share of holding by going low falling in), he utterly dominated Povetkin who was never in the fight. Wlad is a top 15 heavyweight of all time, it is what it is. He'd get murked by a real deal inside fighter though.
You can hate Wlad all you want, but only 2 or 3 guys in history may have a chance against him. Wlad is an ATG, and he's physically one of the biggest, strongest, and most athletic specimens ever seen in boxing. Pofatkin was easily a top 5 heavyweight today behind the K-brothers and Haye, and physically was a bull, but Wlad manhandled him like a child. Prime Tyson and Ali are the only 2 that I think will beat Wlad.
