I would like to see that happening too but i think that if theres no rematch next the winner of the fight will retire.
At this point we have witnessed JMM move up in weight at 35 years of age and we all noticed the weight did not suite him this late in his career. Although I believe their last fight between JMM and Pac was competitive I think Pac is more prime and JMM has finally reached the decline.
I agree with that. JMM is my favorite fighter, but I think he might be at a point in his career where Pac would be too much for him.
Marquez is 36, he almost got beat by Juan Diaz at LW, and he's obviously slow as molasses at JWW+. Getting his ass obliterated by Pac at this point proves nothing for either party. If Marquez wins-- well, he won't. If Pac wins, it's entirely dismissed because of the reasons above.
I would love to have seen those fights first and somehow hoped that floyd and manny would win and then meet each other after that. Somehow there is some unfinished business between pac - marquez and mosley - floyd.
